A Personal Care Assistant supports clients with daily living activities, helping them maintain independence and dignity while living at home. This role involves direct assistance with personal hygiene, mobility, dressing, eating, and medication reminders. PCAs often work closely with elderly clients, people with disabilities, or those recovering from illness or surgery. They serve as companions, providing emotional support and building trust with clients and families. Communication with healthcare providers and accurate documentation of client conditions is vital. Adaptability, patience, and empathy are essential to provide high-quality care tailored to each client’s needs. PCAs may work flexible schedules, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, depending on client requirements.
