Our Mission

To provide compassionate, dependable, and personalized homecare that enables seniors, veterans, individuals with disabilities, and families to live safely, independently, and with dignity in the comfort of their own homes.
Mastercare was founded in Hawaii with the belief that care should feel like family. We bring the spirit of aloha and the warmth of home into every home by treating each client with kindness, dignity, respect, patience, and cultural understanding.
Our mission goes beyond completing daily tasks. We strive to improve quality of life, support independence, strengthen families, and provide peace of mind through well-trained caregivers, personalized care plans, responsible care coordination, and dependable service.
We are especially proud to serve America’s veterans. Mastercare works to help eligible veterans receive respectful in-home assistance while maintaining their independence and honoring the sacrifices they have made for our country. Our published services include VA assistance, senior homecare, companion care, respite care, dementia support, palliative care, transitional care, hospice support, and end-of-life care.

Our Mission in One Sentence:

Compassionate Care, Right at Home—helping every person live with dignity, independence, safety, and purpose.

Our Vision

Our vision is to become one of America’s most trusted homecare and senior-care organizations, bringing Mastercare’s Hawaii-born spirit of compassionate care to families and veterans throughout all 50 states.
We envision a future in which aging does not automatically mean leaving home. Seniors and veterans should have the opportunity to remain surrounded by familiar people, memories, communities, and routines while receiving the assistance they need.
As Mastercare grows, we seek to combine the human heart of caregiving with responsible technology, including caregiver tools, electronic visit verification, secure family communication, care coordination, scheduling, and real-time information. Technology should support caregivers—not replace the human relationships that make homecare meaningful.
We aim to build a nationwide network that maintains consistent standards of care while respecting each individual’s needs, preferences, and family traditions.

Our Nationwide Vision Is Built Upon One Promise

No matter how large Mastercare becomes, every client should still feel cared for like family.

Core Values

Compassion

We lead with kindness. We listen, understand, encourage, comfort, and care for every client as a unique human being.

Dignity

Every senior, veteran, client, caregiver, and family member deserves to be treated with dignity regardless of age, ability, background, or circumstances.

Family – “Ohana”

Caregiving is personal. We strive to create relationships built on trust and treat the people we serve—and the caregivers who serve them—as members of the Mastercare family.

Independence

Our goal is not to take over someone's life. We help individuals continue doing as much as possible for themselves while providing assistance where it is needed.

Respect

We respect personal choices, privacy, culture, beliefs, military service, traditions, homes, families, and individual care preferences.

Integrity

We do what is right even when no one is watching. Honesty, ethical conduct, confidentiality, and responsible decision-making guide our organization.

Excellence in Care

Good intentions alone are not enough. We strive for dependable, professional care through caregiver training, appropriate screening, supervision, quality improvement, safety practices, and accountability.

Veterans First

We honor those who served our nation. Veterans and their families deserve knowledgeable, respectful, dependable assistance that recognizes their service, experiences, and individual needs.

Caregiver Empowerment

Our caregivers are family. We train, support, recognize, and encourage them because confident, respected caregivers are better prepared to provide excellent care to our clients.

Safety

The wellbeing of clients and caregivers comes first. We emphasize safe practices, appropriate care plans, communication, infection prevention, fall awareness, and timely reporting of concerns.

Personalized Care

Every individual is different. Care should reflect the person's needs, routines, preferences, abilities, goals, culture, and family circumstances—not a one-size-fits-all system.

Reliability & Accountability

Families depend on us. We strive to be responsive, punctual, transparent, dependable, and accountable for the quality of the services entrusted to us.

Innovation with Purpose

We embrace technology and better systems when they improve communication, safety, caregiver support, transparency, accessibility, and quality of care.

Community

Mastercare began by serving local Hawaii communities. As we expand, we remain committed to building relationships with families, healthcare professionals, veterans' organizations, and the communities where our caregivers live and work.

A Brighter Tomorrow

We believe quality care can create hope. Every visit is an opportunity to make someone's day safer, healthier, more comfortable, and more meaningful.

Our Promise to Families

We believe good care begins with respect and grows through communication, consistency, and trust. Our goal is to build supportive relationships with seniors and their families, listening as needs change and keeping the person—not just the task—at the center of care.

From our beginnings in Hawaii to our nationwide expansion, Mastercare remains guided by one purpose: helping people feel valued, supported, and at home.
