Mastercare was founded in 2000 by Anwar Kazi, a compassionate leader who saw the need for trustworthy, family-like homecare in Hawaii. With just a handful of caregivers and a big heart, we began supporting seniors and people with disabilities — focusing on dignity, independence, and quality of life.
Expanding Services to Meet Evolving Needs
As client needs grew, Mastercare expanded its services in 2005 to include specialized care like personal assistance, chronic condition support, and companionship. These services helped families keep loved ones safe at home, while offering caregivers peace of mind. With a whole-person approach and personalized care plans, Mastercare stood apart from larger, less personal agencies.

Veterans hold a special place in Mastercare’s heart. Since partnering with the VA Aid & Attendance Program, Mastercare has supported hundreds of veterans and their spouses with in-home care, helping them maintain independence and dignity in their own homes.
By working closely with VA case managers and healthcare professionals, the agency ensures that each veteran receives the benefits and personalized attention they deserve — from basic help with ADLs to more complex post-surgical care.

Building on its success in Hawaii, Mastercare recently expanded into Dallas, Texas — bringing the aloha spirit to the mainland. The Dallas team is built on the same values and systems that made the Hawaii office a trusted care partner.
With a rising aging population and demand for personalized in-home care in Texas, Mastercare is poised to fill a growing need in the Dallas region. Already, the office has onboarded experienced caregivers and VA clients, continuing the mission of delivering quality, compassionate care.
